Electric gate valve is a type of valve that performs linear motion, matched with a Z-type multi turn actuator, and available in both switch and intelligent types. This valve is the most common type of opening and closing valve, which uses the up and down operation of the gate to connect and close the fluid medium in the pipeline. Widely used in sectors such as electricity, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, papermaking, sewage treatment, etc.
The pneumatic gate valve is equipped with a double cylinder pneumatic actuator, a buffering mechanism, and a manual and protective mechanism. Due to the use of a double cylinder structure, the lifting force of this valve is doubled compared to a single cylinder pneumatic gate valve. This fundamentally solves the problem of some valve bodies of single cylinder pneumatic gate valves being wedged tightly and unable to open. The difference between electric and pneumatic valves:
1. The essential difference between electric valves and pneumatic valves lies in the use of different driving devices, namely actuators, while the regulating valve itself has no significant difference. The main requirement for cooperating with different actuators is working conditions, such as in explosion-proof situations such as chemical engineering. Pneumatic valves are the most commonly used because of their high safety requirements and cheap prices. Combined with intelligent locators, they can be connected to the bus, and the control method is also simple.
2. The action force distance of pneumatic valves is larger than that of electric valves. The opening and closing speed of pneumatic valves can be adjusted, with a simple structure and easy maintenance. During the action process, due to the buffering characteristics of the gas itself, it is not easy to be damaged due to jamming. However, there must be a gas source, and its control system is also more complex than that of electric valves. Pneumatic valves have sensitive response, safety, and reliability. Many factories with high control requirements specifically set compressed air stations for pneumatic instrument control components. The power source of the pneumatic valve actuator is the air source, which comes from the air compressor. A locator is used to convert the electric control signal into a pneumatic control signal, driving the pneumatic actuator to adjust the valve position.
3. The power source of the electric valve actuator is the power supply. If the circuit board or motor malfunctions, sparks are prone to occur. Therefore, it is generally used in situations with low environmental requirements and no danger. Compared with the regulating performance of pneumatic actuators and electric actuators, pneumatic actuators have faster response speed and are more suitable for application in regulating working conditions. Therefore, manufacturers producing regulating valves also produce pneumatic actuators to match them.
4. The adjustment response speed of electric actuators is not fast enough, and pneumatic actuators are more commonly used on regulating valves than electric actuators.
