The SS wafer type fluorine lined butterfly valve BVW311 series has the following characteristics in terms of product installation, maintenance, and upkeep due to its inherent special properties:
1. The flange cover plate of the fluorine lined regulating valve cannot be disassembled arbitrarily. Unless it is prepared to be connected to the pipeline, the PTFE flange surface may be damaged or twisted due to temperature difference or foreign objects, which may affect the sealing. If the cover plate is moved due to inspection needs, it must be quickly repositioned after inspection to protect the PTFE flange surface from damage.
When connecting the fluorine plastic sealing surface of the valve with the pipeline, gaskets are generally not used separately. However, when connecting with flange surfaces of different materials (metal surfaces, etc.), appropriate gaskets should be used to protect the PTFE flange surface.
3. If the fluorine lined regulating valve leaks at high temperatures during system use, the system temperature should be first lowered to room temperature, and then the cause should be identified and repaired.
4. It is not allowed to perform any high-temperature welding work on valves and fittings to avoid damage to the lining layer.
5. During installation, the flange nuts should be evenly tightened diagonally (symmetrically) and matched with appropriate torque:
(1) The flange sealing surface is leaking and the nut at the leaking position has been locked. At this time, the nut at the leaking position should be loosened by half a turn and the opposite side should be tightened again with the same torque.
(2) When the above methods have not yet stopped leakage, the PTFE flange surface should be inspected for any concave and convex indentations or scratches. At that time, fine gauze paper and cloth can be used to level and reconnect.
6. Electric fluorine lined regulating valves should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and stacking is strictly prohibited.
7. The sealing surface of valves stored for a long time should be in a slightly open and separated state to avoid deformation caused by long-term pressure, which may affect the sealing performance and service life.
8. When manually operating the regulating valve, it is not allowed to use other levers to forcefully open or close the valve.
9. When installing valves with directional requirements, attention should be paid to the flow direction of the medium as indicated by the arrow on the valve body, and ensure easy operation and maintenance.
10. The repaired valve must be tested and qualified according to relevant standards before installation.
