Wafer butterfly valve is one of the most common types of valves in industrial pipelines. Wafer butterfly valve itself has a relatively small structure. Simply place the butterfly valve in the middle of the flanges at both ends of the pipeline, and use double headed bolts to pass through the pipeline flange and lock the Wafer butterfly valve to control the fluid medium in the pipeline. The clamp type butterfly valve is particularly suitable for places with narrow spaces or short distances between pipelines. When the butterfly valve is in the fully open position, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve body. Therefore, the pressure drop generated through the valve is very small, so it has good flow control characteristics.
1、 Instructions before installing the wafer type butterfly valve:
1. Before starting the installation operation, clean the external objects on the piping with air spray, and clean the inner surface of the piping with clean water.
2. Carefully check whether the use of the valve matches its performance specifications; (temperature, pressure)
3. Check if there are any debris on the valve channel and sealing surface, and remove them in a timely manner;
4. After unpacking, the valve should be installed in a timely manner. Do not loosen any fastening screws or nuts on the valve at will;
5. The wafer type butterfly valve must use a dedicated butterfly valve flange.
6. Electric butterfly valves can be installed on pipelines at any angle. For maintenance convenience, it is recommended not to install them upside down.
7. When installing the butterfly valve flange, it is necessary to ensure that the flange face is aligned with the sealing rubber, the screws are evenly tightened, and the sealing surface must fit perfectly; If the screw tightening force is uneven, rubber protrusions may jam the butterfly plate, or it may cause leakage at the valve stem by pressing against the butterfly plate.
2、 Installation steps for clamp type butterfly valves: The correct installation of clamp type butterfly valves is related to the sealing degree of the butterfly valve and whether it will leak, including the safety during working conditions. Users should understand the installation process.
1. As shown, place the valve between the two pre installed flanges, paying attention to the neat alignment of the bolt holes.
2. Gently insert four pairs of bolts and nuts into the flange holes, tighten the nuts slightly to correct the flatness of the flange surface;
3. Fix the flange on the pipeline by spot welding;
5. Fully weld and fix the flange onto the pipeline;
6. Wait until the welded junction cools before installing the valve. Ensure that the valve has sufficient movement space in the flange to prevent damage to the valve, and ensure that the valve plate has a certain degree of opening;
7. Correct the valve position and tighten the four pairs of bolts (be careful not to overtighten)
8、将阀门打开,保证阀板能自由开闭,然后使阀板轻微开启;
8. Open the valve to ensure that the valve plate can open and close freely, and then slightly open the valve plate;
10. Confirm again that the valve can open and close freely, and note that the valve plate has not touched the pipeline.
The installation of clamp type butterfly valves must first be laid flat before installation, and it is important to remember not to bump them randomly. After pulling them to the installation length during installation, in the design of on-site pipelines, it is not allowed to disassemble the clamp type butterfly valve without special permission. This is something we need to know before installation. At the same time, everyone should also know that the clamp type butterfly valve can be installed in any position, but after the installation of the clamp type butterfly valve is completed, the butterfly valve needs to be laid along the line. For the clamp type butterfly valve, a bracket should be made, and once the bracket is made, it is strictly prohibited to remove the bracket during use.
